Shabbat and Shavuot Schedule 5772
Shavuot is a biblical holiday celebrating the receiving of the Torah at Sinai, as well as the bringing of the first fruits at the time of the Temple. As a Yom Tov, the laws are similar to Shabbat, with the exception of preparing food, transferring fire, and carrying. There are no particular mitzvot of Shavuot (like Shofar or Matzah) aside from “And you shall rejoice on your festivals.” There are some prevalent customs – for example, eating dairy Shavuot morning (like mother's milk) and staying up all night learning.
Friday night – musical Kabbalat shabbat, with minchah at 6:30.
Saturday morning – regular davening at 9:30
Saturday night – Shavuot starts when Shabbat ends. There will be no formal davening at Aish. And here is the schedule for the community-wide Shavuot celebration:

1:45 AM – 2:30 AM – The Whole Way: Heart, Mind and Body in Prayer With Rabbi Josh Rose

2:45 AM -3:30 AM – The Mishkan: Heart, Mind, and the Holy of Holies with Rabbi Gavriel Goldfeder
3:30 – Community Kavannah
3:45 AM -4:45 AM – Live Chavruta – Rabbis Josh Rose and Gavriel Goldfeder lead an interactive encounter with the Torah of Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto
5 AM – Shacharit at Aish Kodesh 1805 Balsam Ave (Please note there is no other davening at Aish Sunday morning aside from the 5 AM shacharit)
7:30 AM - Kiddush sponsored by Alex Savitz.
Sunday evening – no formal davening at Aish
Monday morning – 9:30 AM davening at Aish, including Yizkor
